Ingredients: Serves 2

2 Chicken Curry Pastie (Ask Your Butcher!)
Shop Bought Garlic Bread - or make your own with:
Ciabatta Bread
Garlic
100g Butter
Salt / Pepper

For the Slaw -

1/4 White Cabbage
1/4 Medium Red Cabbage
2 Medium Carrots
3 Tbsp Chopped Pickle
1/2 Tsp Salt
1 Tbsp White Wine Vinegar
5/6 Tbsp Mayonnaise
1 Tsp jarred Horseradish
More salt/ Pepper to taste

Chicken Curry Pastie Cooking Instructions:

Pre-heat the oven  to 190C/fan 170C/gas 5.

Place the Chicken Curry Pastie in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes ( If cooking from frozen add 10 minutes to cooking time).

 

While they are baking, make the slaw.

Shred cabbage and grate carrot, or use the grater in your food processor to do the job much faster!
Chop up the Pickle and add to Cabbage and Pickle.
Add the salt and vinegar to the vegetables and mix.
Mix up the Mayonnaise and horseradish. Be careful - horseradish can be strong. So add to taste.

Then add the Mayo mixture to the vegetables and mix well.

 

Now make the quick Garlic Bread.

Crush the garlic and mix it with the butter and a little seasoning.

Slide the Ciabatta in half length ways.

Toast the bottom and the top for a minute or two.

Spread the butter mixture over the inside sides of both part of the bread and toast for 2/3 minutes.


Serve up the Chicken Curry Pastie, the Slaw and the Garlic bread.
Sit back and enjoy a quick and tasty dinner!
