Rosie and Jim were especially delighted to donate €450 to our very own staff member Tracey who was fundraising for Aoibheann’s Pink Tie charity. Tracey was one of over 2,000 women who set a new world record with the Worlds Largest Skinny Dip event at a secluded beach in Wicklow. With all proceeds going to the National Children’s Cancer Charity it really is a fantastic charity to support.

Tracey also held a fundraiser night and we were more than happy to provide the food for the night which raised €1400.

Some adorable photos of Izzy, who, loves here toys! She, like Champ and Hank, are almost 7 months old now already.

She is very playful, so she can get distracted sometimes, but is still a very diligent little pup and a fast learner.

What lovely heartfelt letter we have received from the Cuisle Cancer Support Centre. And well done again to Margaret on the right in the photo above who ran the ladies mini marathon in aid of the centre. The Cuisle Cancer Support Centre is a fantastic service with fantastic people who have made a huge difference to families lives and we are happy and humbled to be able to donate.

Dear Rosie & Jim

Thank you so much for your kind donation of €300 to the Cuisle Cancer Support Centre. Also thank you to Margaret who ran the ladies mini marathon in aid of the centre. Your kindness & generosity are very much appreciated.

The Cuisle Cancer Support Centre is a local charity servicing Laois/Kildare and surrounding counties. It provides a warm, safe and welcoming environment for people diagnosed with cancer and for their families and children affected by it.

The centre provides professional support through counselling, relaxation therapies and workshops helping people through their cancer journey. The aim of the centre is to reduce the distressing impact cancer can have on any family. We offer practical and emotional support. A care programme is tailored to each individual’s needs.

The centre has been built from the proceeds of fundraising events over the past number of years, and it has been your support, and the support of so many that has continued to make the centre a special place for people affected by Cancer. All our services are provided free of charge.

The Centre is operated under a voluntary board of trustees who govern the overall operation of the centre and do not receive any remuneration or expenses.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the Staff in the Cuisle Cancer Support Centre I would once again thank you for your support.

Who Is Livie ?

Olivia Mulhern is an 8 month old baby recently diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1. Without treatment her condition will deteriorate and it will be unlikely she could survive past her second birthday.

What Is SMA ?

Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) is caused by a gene deletion that causes deterioration of the nerve cells connecting Livies' brain and spinal cord to her muscles. There is no cure and Livie has the most severe type.

Donate now

Livies best hope is a one off gene treatment, currently only available in America and costing a staggering two million dollars. Livie is against the clock as this treatment is only available to children under two years old.

Make-A-Wish® Ireland has one simple aim - to grant the wishes of children aged between 3 and 17 years living with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. A wish granted is true magic for the child, providing respite from their normal routines of hospitals, doctors and treatment. Since inception in 1992 they have granted over 2,000 wishes in Ireland. They believe a wish can have a lasting impact on a child's life. A wish can create moments of joy - and memories that last a life-time.

Rosie & Jim have donated €500 to the Make-A-Wish® Ireland Christmas Campaign.
